Explore the world of Japanese Classical Dance which is said to have first come about when the Sun Goddess, Amaterasu, hid herself in a cave, keeping the sun from shining on the world. To lure her out, Amenomizu-no-Mikoto, jumps on top of a tub and begins to dance a comical dance much to the delight of the other gods. Curious, Amaterasu peeks out from the cave and sunlight returns to the world. Wakana Hanayagi will introduce the basic hand positions, steps, etc. through an easy-to-follow introductory piece.
